Youngatheart.7.4.12 status updates can be like message board posts.  🙂 ex: "Hope you're having a great Saturday!"  Status updates can be up to 420 characters and include links, images and mentions. I don't remember the limit of tweets off hand but it's longer than 140 characters now. That was the max for a long time.
