I remember back in my early weeks of my quit saying to my dentist that I had finally quit smoking awwwwww that was a wonderful feeling it was one of those fabulous AHA Moments and I'll tell you even NOW with 2,281 splendiferous DOF ~ Days Of Freedom ~ I still find myself smiling at being an Ex Smoker Non Smoker or EXer it doesn't matter what we call it as long we continue living a Smokefree Life! I want to congratulate our very own Ellen elvan on 7 stupendous Smokefree years and counting WTG YAY for each and every YEAR WON!
When I FINALLY made the decision that I had to quit, I found a doctor who had a special interest in helping people do that. He put me on Chantix, mentioned this website (he had provided nput on its creation), and told me I was to quit 10 (I think) days after I started it. I was like, "Oh, God, HOW am I going to do this? I believed I was going to be the last smoker standing." But - I DID - and the next time I went back to see him, I told him (at that time) I was three months quit. He jumped up, grabbed my hand, took me up and down the halls of the practice, telling EVERYBODY that I had quit smoking. He made it such a celebration, and one I have never forgotten.
Good moments!
