it got me to thinking it's a million times better than the icky ucky aroma of an ashtray full of butts yuck! I'm so happy that there's LIFE after Cigarettes it's super fantastic once you get through the roller coaster ups and downs so if you're struggling with remaining quit please know that you can and will get through it deep breaths we're all here for you it's going to take time to relearn life without the smokes BUT boy oh boy it's so worth it to be able to go anywhere anytime whenever wherever and however without wondering where to sneak off to suck on a damned Cancer Stick ....

no you never mentioned that about pickles lol wouldn't it be awesome if people thought the same about the cigarettes! It would put the tobacco companies right out of buisness and save millions of lives! sweetplt

I used to love those little sweet pickles - or the sweet slices - and even dills, but especially dill slices on a cheeseburger. Reminds me that I haven't had one in YEARS!
Smell of cigarettes on my hair, on my clothes, on somebody else? Not so much.

Good morning! I love canning and working in my garden. You have me curious...what is green tomato chow? I canned some pickles over my first quit weekend and I am curious as to how green tomatoes will smell like pickles. Please let me know if you have time! I may have a new task to keep me busy

I process them then make sure the bottles are hot then bottle them and tighten the rings. Jen_819Jen_819 this is two batches these are 250 ml bottles all but one.

My Question was answered about Chow Chow
Growing up as a treat I would get one of those large pickles in a jar that sat on the butchers counter and on a occasion or 2 got the pickled pigs feet from a large jar sitting next to the pickles. Now I can take or leave a pickle
Now when it comes to cooking / baking I'm not picky I do enjoy all the aroma but my favorite is the smell of bread baking and the fresh smell of baked bread.
When it comes to the smell cigarette butts they remind me of the stench of a porta potty on a construction site in the summer.

I have never canned anything but l LOVE homemade canned things! My daughter’s mother in law does cauliflower that is a little hot, it is SOOOOO good!
l love pickles, sometimes have to buy a big jar of them & dive in!
Marilyn’s house ALWAYS smells like home...at least in MY mind.

It looks good! Lots of work there. I like pickles but I'm not fond of green tomatoes.
These don't even taste like green tomatoes because of all of the spices I guess but like you Chris Christine13 I don't like green tomatoes either, I know some people that love fried green tomatoes and onions yuck lol!

Yes, years ago Brian made fried green tomatoes. They looked so good, and I did try to eat them, just not as much as he thought I should.

MarilynH Happy Thursday Dear Marilyn...did I ever say that I hate pickles, the smell the taste, won’t touch them ugh...at a restaurant if I ask for a sandwich I say...”no pickle”...if it touches my sandwich I won’t eat it...not sure why? But I think it is the dill...I like cucumbers...Hope you enjoy the chow chow...home cooking always smells so good in the house....
