My husband Mark quit smoking 6 years ago on the 25th of March because of a scary cough that he had especially at night so he'd been quit for about a month when he went to see his Dr. to get results back from a CT scan which showed mild emphysema his Dr. was very pleased that he took the initiative and quit BUT I continued smoking outside of course believing I was just A okay even though I'd cough hack choke gag and nearly hork up a lung or possibly even both mostly  in the mornings wowser eh! Anyway I had an appointment early May of 2014 to see a specialist totally unrelated to smoking BUT he did listen to my lungs just as a routine check up. He said he was setting me up for a breathing test which showed mild copd that was early June Anyway to make a very long story shorter that was enough to put me into quit smoking mode I always thought other people got smoking related illnesses NOT ME like geesh I finally figured out that I'm not invincible and my desire to LIVE was Sooooooo MUCH stronger than continuing to slowly kill myself so I found this site and did the reading and with commitment and perseverance here I am living a life of Freedom if you asked me if quitting smoking was easy? I'm saying HELL NO!!!!!! BUT if you asked me if quitting smoking was worth it? I'll be saying HELL YES with a huge smile on my face.

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
