Quitting smoking is a choice that everyone of us has to make at some point  I always thought that other people got the smoking related illnesses NOT ME even my husband who quit two and a half months before me when he found out he has mild emphysema but I thought I was just fine so I continued to Smoke outside of course we hadn't smoked in the house for over a decade then I found out that I have mild copd, looking back into my Smoking days sitting outside in all kinds of weather nearly horking up a lung or possibly even both by choking, hacking and coughing on that first Cancer Stick of the morning! Should have been a warning sign BUT in my addicted mind I was A OK! WOW after 40 yrs of smoking of at least 30 smokes a day I finally wised up and threw the yuckies  (cigarettes) away with the help of this community, it was EXtremely hair pulling, rip your face off feelings which I felt like doing at times but didn't   I'd cry one minute and feel like screaming or laughing the next but I got through it by sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance and I wanted my life back from the clutches of the nicotine poison and I knew from reading everything here on this site that I was going to succeed with Perseverance and commitment and the Right mindset that I would get to the point of reaping the benefits of being an Ex Smoker and I did!  I'm one of those those Happy Quitters and I have been for quite some time believe ME when I say it's totally worth it to be Free so hang tough because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic, each morning make the choice to stay quit so in the evenings you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON.....
