I smoked for 40 yrs with at least a half dozen failed attempts at quitting and looking back I know that I was only half heartedly trying to quit and when i drank i knew that I'd probably drink one too many so I'd think aaah what the hell and I'd bum a smoke and be back at for another decade or so or I'd gain a few lbs and I'd use that for an EXcuse to relapse and again yrs went by until the scare of being told that I have mild copd that's when I finally figured out that I'm not invincible that I could die a slow painful death that's most likely smoking related so I got looking on line for quit smoking site's and this is the one I decided on. I set up a quit date but I wasn't ready so I reset it and promised myself NO more cigarettes ever and then I forgot about this site until my 18th day when I was ready to buy a cartoon and screw just a pk but whew thankfully I I remembered and got on line and with the help of this community of awesome EXers I'm still here with 1,349 glorious DOF and counting WTG ME and WTG TO each of YOU whether you're on Day 1 or Day 100, Day 1,000 or whatever just stick with your quit so each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay DAY WON or Days WON or if you're haven't quit yet come and join the ranks of being an Ex Smoker because it's the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE and our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit no matter what is happening in our lives.....
