Good day ex-family, just wanted to update you on my progress, yesterday was really really hard my emotions were all over place, but reading, taking walks, talking to my ex-smoker Co-worker,  prayer, popping lots of candy and breathing helped, once I went home for the day I actually went to sleep I was so tired from fighting but I made it through. this morning I woke up like OMG!! here we go again but so far the cravings are mild and I been really busy at work, I have downloaded a crossword puzzle and I'm reading much more. I thank my new ex-family for all your support I would not have made it through the day if it wasn't for this site and you all!

My Name is Tyra I'm a 47 year old mother of 4 Daughter's ages 25, 21 and 15 year old twins i'm also the Grandmother of two Grandson's ages 4 and 9mo. I started smoking at the age of 15, I have not really tried to quit but I know i have too and even though i'm scared as hell to cut the cigarettes out of my life I know it's time to end the friendship. My quit date is approaching and i can't believe how nervous i am, I feel like i'm losing a friend (dose that sound crazy?) I have come to realize that smoking is just as addicting as any other drug and has control over my life and i want to take that control back.
