Good morning! First I want to say THANK YOU to all our EX Vets who have served our fine country! I am so grateful for you and the freedom you have given all of us. You are my REAL HEREOS and those whom have fallen.
I wrote a blog awhile back about building a house. Well it still continues. Houses have many rooms and the body I live in seems to also. I have a storage room where I keep all my past stuff and sometimes I look into it and say, wow you have a lot of 'stuff',lol. I remind myself I am a progress in works though. I also like to collect a few things but I also like to give things away to people as well, especially things I make.
We are building a new house now. It has an Open Concept which I really love. Not so many nooks and crannies, or rooms to fill. Much like myself....I am more of an Open Concept since I quit smoking in regards that although I don't have all the nooks and crannies like I did before. Becoming and EX has made me see I can open up myself to new strategies and ways of thinking in many areas of my life. Smoking really held me back much more than I thought. Being and EX has opened new doors for me that I just never thought possible.
I stuffed everything into nooks and crannies before. My Excuses, My fears, My worries, My disappointments, My regrets...etc....you get the point. Ex showed me that I needed to take down some walls inside MY house and allow room for light ....being all of you! It has worked for me gloriously!
Well my grand baby is here and needing attention, but I will blog more on building my house as my journey of recovery continues. Yes continues.....I remain vigilant. I have seen quits of many years fail due to not watching and protecting. I have NO INTENTION of going through HELL WEEL or NML EVER again! It was work but it was worth it and if your there...stay here and push through to get the breakthrough.
Have a safe and happy Memorial Day! I know this is one I will not forget! AND A huge shout out to ALL my Ex friends.....You are also MY HEREOS, I love you all and am ever so grateful for the gifts each of you bring to my heart, Elders and Newbies....xoxoxo~Missy
