Hi, my name is Lori and I have been smoke free for 9 days. I am using the nicotine patch to help with the cravings and it has been working. I am looking to lower the milligrams within the next week. I cant say I am not nervous about this because I am but I know that I am a strong person who can get through this. I started smoking when I was 16 and went down this road before and I ended up quitting for 4 years. I wanted to take a hit off of my nieces cigarette to see if I would cough and I did not but from there, I began smoking again just that quick.
There are so many other things that you can do to take away the thoughts of smoking. Read a book, take long walks and breathe the FRESH not smokey air. I rely on mints and cleaning, chewing gum is also an option but certain things work for certain people. This web site has also helped me a lot to achieve not smoking. Good luck to all NON-smokers. You can do it!!!
