This is the Orono Bog, there's a wooden walkway all around.  It's mostly peat moss and small trees (they're old, just small).  There are also Cranberry plants, Cotton grass, and plants that eat flies.  It may have been a lake until a glacier came through.

I finally get to see the doctor today!  I have an abundance of questions for him.  One thing I won't be doing is smoking!  I am, on a day by day basis, grateful for the opportunity to be a non-smoker.

"Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation."

I quit on October 25, 2013, it was the best decision I ever made (or, one of them). I smoked for over 50 years and quit Cold Turkey. My most useful tool is gratitude, you can borrow some from me.
