Cold Water.JPG

The Kenduskeag Stream as it wanders through Bangor, Maine.  I took this photo about 3 years ago, it looks about the same now.

Something else still looks the same too, me not smoking is what that is.  It's getting harder for me to even imagine standing out in a parking lot in cold, cold weather just to smoke a stupid stick, if I might call it that.

What ever made me think that committing slow suicide by death stick was a cool thing to do.  Oh yeah, I thought it was cool for a 15 year old high school kid to smoke!  And smoke I did until I was 72 years old. Stupid!

Thankfully I was able to come to my senses before the death sticks did the job they're intended to do - kill me.

Pages like this one, people like you, and an attitude of gratitude have saved my life.  Thank you.

I quit on October 25, 2013, it was the best decision I ever made (or, one of them). I smoked for over 50 years and quit Cold Turkey. My most useful tool is gratitude, you can borrow some from me.
