Haskell Pitch on the East Branch Robert Bukaty.jpg

This is Haskell Pitch on the East Branch of the Penobscot River, Maine.  Robert Bukaty took the photo for the Bangor Daily News.  He found a way to take the photo.  We will find a way to stop smoking.  My most useful tool in this process is gratitude, then comes acceptance and willingness (not will power).  I've accepted the fact that I'm an addict, I'm willing to change, and I am grateful for the chance to improve my life.  Pretty simple stuff, of course we all try to find a way around one thing or another - but this for us is private - we don't need to announce to the world that we are addicts for example.  Remember it's all about you.

"Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind."

I quit on October 25, 2013, it was the best decision I ever made (or, one of them). I smoked for over 50 years and quit Cold Turkey. My most useful tool is gratitude, you can borrow some from me.
