Not smoking it is hard but I am still smoke free.
Julie.. I believe we have all quit a million times before we finally kick the habit for good. It seems we are in the same boat as I am on day 4. (AGAIN)
I was told by someone on this site that I needed to do something different this time around.
Evaluate when I smoke and triggers (morning, bedtime, after a meal, driving)
Have a backup plan in case those situations occur and I want to give in. ( gum, walking , deep breathing..etc)
I am/was a big time car smoker. It is very hard for me to get in my car and not want to smoke. So, in addition to taking Chantix, I pulled the fuse that operates the windows in my car. Now, I cannot roll them down at all and I don't like the smoke to build up in my car so I won't smoke in my car. A little extreme I know, but I do not trust myself. No one else drives my car and our family usually uses my husbands so it should be fine.
I wish you all the strength in the world. We can do this !.
Hang on Julie...Julie1960 ... day 3 is great...but you know it is hard ... but doable...I hope you are doing something that will help you this evening...a good marathon of Netflix, relaxing with a book, a little shopping on amazon, etc., something to distract you...~ Colleen
Good job Julie .
You are figuring out ways that help you .. that's awesome !
We only see you here a few minutes so look how well you are doing on your own when you are away from here and ... not only that .........you check in too so we can celebrate with you .
Day 3 smoke free
Don't buy them , or borrow them ,
Julie is done with them .
It WILL get easier, the beginning is tough but it WILL get easier, I promise. Congratulations.
