Jo1234's Status Update on 06/23/2019

I picked a quit date of 7/19 because I want to track my triggers and how strong the urge is. Also i am getting an ex for wellbutrin and after taking that for about two weeks I will utilize the patches. My problem is that I can't find how to get back to my daily smoking pattern to track this. I am 70 years old and have been smoking since 15. How do I navigate in my personal space?

Welcome to the Ex.  Congrats on your decision to quit.   I used Welbutrin and nicotrol inhalers, but the site made all the difference.  I smoked for 50 years and have 467 days smoke free.   Do you mean you put something on the Ex site that you can't find?

Hi Barbara, thanks for responding. Yes I'm trying to track my triggers and I can't get back to that spot where you list the cigarettes that she smokes per day. I'll look around and see if I can find it. I'm going to pick up my Wellbutrin today and start a course using that. But I'm definitely going to be using this site. I found this face again last night but now I can't find it this morning. I'm sure that this site is going to be wonderful

My Quit Plan (upper right when in Ex Community)
Get Ready to Quit (top header in center)
Scroll half way down to Trigger Tracker Tool
Hope that's what you're looking for.

Welcome to EX, it sounds like you have gotten your plan started and that's a really good thing.  All that planning HELPS, this IS a journey as you know and it is one day at a time.  We all want you to succeed and will help in any way that we can,

Thank you Ellen. I noticed that there are artists who share their art work here. I don't know how to navigate this site very well yet but am thinking about joining a group or 2...probably one will be an artist's group. How the heck do you load your art onto the site?

Take a photo of it, save it to your computer and click on the little camera in the tool line when you reply to something, you can load it from there and you can size it by clicking on it and when it turns blue, click on the corners to make it the size that you want it to be.  I am sure you will be VERY welcomed there.  I love looking at it but don't have the confidence to post anything.

Thanks for the response. Does it have to be through the computer or can I do it from my android phone? I'll have to look to see if I can find the tool line LOL. Meanwhile I am diligently getting ready for my quit. I am 1/3 of the way thru Alan's book, and steadily getting ready. I know I will gained some weight. But that's really okay because I am underweight by about 10 or 15 lb. I weigh approximately 126 and I should have way between 135 and 140. But I will keep an eye on that anyway because if I gained too much weight my back suffers.

I honestly don't know if you can do it through a phone...Mark would be able to help you with that.

I have back issues too and five lbs. makes a difference to my back, I can tell when I gain weight because move so much more slowly and with difficulty.  The pool is my best friend as long as it's outdoors and I don't have to inhale chlorine.

I don't use my phone to connect to the site...I save photos to my computer from my phone and then post them.
