I started smoking around thirty years ago. I had been working as a bartender in a restaurant pub in 1989. Cigarettes were cheap back then around two dollars a pack for Marlboros. I have tried to quit smoking a hundred times thru the years but something always triggered me to start smoking again. Now at age 56 I think it’s about time. I suffer from sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes (controlled) and bi-polar disorder. But I’ve been working for the same company for 28 years and also have a part-time job.
It’s difficult to quit also because my roommate smokes and she continues even though she has COPD. My official quit date is tomorrow July 19, 2019. Wish me luck and also I could use some advice. Thank you- Jeffrey
