Is it Friday yet? A legit question for a lot of people. For me, it holds a different significance. It's the first weekend that I won't be smoking. So I need a plan.
This quit is going smoothly so far and I don't want to blow it. I'm a list maker so that's what I'll do - make a list of things that must be done on Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. I can foresee laundry and cleaning but I will throw in some fun stuff here and there too! I've been neglecting my yoga practice lately - I like to watch Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube. I'm staying away from smokers and the movie theater. I don't want to go to the movies because over 2 hours seems like a long time to sit in one place right now. Sure, I might be overthinking about the upcoming weekend but I don't want to quit smoking again. In my estimation, obsessing about the upcoming weekend is better than smoking.
I need to incorporate new things to do to keep me occupied and perhaps a few of those things will become a new habit. Like coming here every morning instead of going outside to smoke : )
