Another Day, No Vape

The thing about breaking a bad habit is to replace it with a good, or at least benign, one. Those moments, when I first wake up, when I have coffee, after a meal, are normally when I’d reach for my vape. It’s now after breakfast and I’d normally be vaping with my coffee. I have been keeping myself busy; I repair vintage jewelry and make some of my own pieces to sell as a hobby, and I’ve been cranking out jewelry like crazy!

Physically, my throat is starting to feel less sore, and I don’t feel as stuffed up as I normally would. Breathing is a little easier. I think it will take some time before I see more physical signs that my body is healing from all of the crap I put into it.

This is not the first time I’m quitting something. After two neck surgeries, I became addicted to opiates. I went to rehab for 90 days. And that was tough, but I got through it. That was 7 years ago. So I think I can do this!
