An Ocean

~~We can't be afraid of change.  You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a things as an ocean, a sea.  Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better.  ~~  C. Happy Easter, everyone   May today bring you some peace, joy, and balance in your life.  May your worries fade in the sunshine and may your stress melt in the warmth.

I do hope all things good for you.  I hope your quit is something you treasure, not something you fear.  I hope your quit brings you little thrills of excitement, not anger and resentment.  I hope you realize what a gift your quit is instead of a horrible battle that you fight in your own head.

It's all in how you think about it.  It's all in what you believe...about yourself as well as about cigarettes.  It's all in how you feel about it and how you treat it.  A quit well loved will flourish...a quit resented with wither.

It's all about change.  You are changing habits.  You are changing lifestyle.  You are changing you.  And ALL of the changes are good...healthy...positive....needed.  Your body needs a change from the poisons you have been feeding it.  Your mind needs a change from the overwhelming thoughts of 'needing a cigarette'.  And you need a change from being chained to an addiction that dictates your time, your energy, your behaviors.

I'm going through changes as well.  I'm letting go of my need to write so this will be my last post.  I'll still be here, commenting and reading and supporting (when I can), but I know without a doubt that each and every one of you can quit smoking without reading anything from me

I look forward to reading your posts about your quits.  I look forward to reading your posts about YOU.  And I can promise you without a doubt that your quit can grow and strengthen and blossom into the best thing you've ever done in your whole life...for you.  Because a quit is uniquely personal....extremely individual.....challenging and life changing.  You can.  You deserve it.  You need it.

Happy Easter, Ex world!  May today be the day you start loving your quit.
