Ha! What was I thinking?

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results....

I retract my statement that I am more scared of blowing a 10 year quit than having a dozen day ones.

-Understand that there is no "just one"- Check

Just one is the reason for all of the day ones.

-Understand that the "just one" will result in "just one more" within an hour- Check

-Understand that the chain will NEVER be broken until the urge for just one is ignored and stomped into the ground and buried. -Check

-Understand that mental attitude is everything- Check

If you think you are going to fail, you will probably find an excuse to.

-Understand that the nature of addiction is to want more and more, not less and less- Check

There will never be a good time to quit. It's like trying to find a unicorn in rainbow forest.

One is too many, a thousand is never enough.

Omg I've been a smoker for 20 years? I never thought about it until I was just about to say it. That's sad... Well anyway, I have made many attempts to quit over the last 5 years while studying the psychology of smoking, and trying to figure the nature of my own addiction. As of this typing, I am currently approaching a quit day, and if I have anything to say about it, it will be my last. I am fast approaching the secret I have been missing to quitting.
