I have been trying to quit smoking for about 6 years now. I have had some success for short periods of time then back to smoking. I am more determined now to do it one way or another. I am currently using the patch to assist me. I have been on the patch for about 3 weeks and was smoke free for about 6 days then started craving each evening for 1/2 to 1 whole cigarette. Prior to this time I was stopped smoking for about 28 days and was spider bit and had to go into the hospital for 4 days with infection in my leg. That infection lasted for almost 4 months. During the infection my leg hurt every time I moved. I wouldn't take pain pills as I am a recovering addict of 29 years and smoking comforted me. So I was back to smoking. I really want to stop today but tomorrow my mind may convince me I just want one or that I can't get through something without one. I know this all is silly but I fall for it everytime.
