Good afternoon everyone,
Hope and I got home safe and sound yesterday afternoon. I kept her in her carrier after I saw that she was still a little wobbly from being under anesthesia. She kept me company while I went through some more soaked boxes. A lot of paperwork from grade school and high school had to be thrown away, but I did not lose any sleep over it.
This morning, Hope peed, pooped, drank water, and ate her dry food without any issues. Holden and Cheddar hissed and growled at her because they still smelled the vet. She has been licking her incision, but I know that it is hard not to. My husband and I tried to put a cone on her yesterday, but she made it very clear that she was not going to wear it. She got really stressed out, so we decided that she will be ok without it. As of right now, the incision is not infected. Hope has been a trooper throughout all of this.
Today is our second wedding anniversary. It has been a relaxing day. We plan to get carry out later for supper. We discussed going out to eat, but we still feel a little uncomfortable. I am just grateful to spend the day with my husband and my fur babies.
Today is also my first wedding anniversary smoke free. I am feeling great about that!
Jen
