My personal experiment of my daily quit journey starting now

if I don’t fail at this again! Starting to lose hope with my self.

Been reading a lot on whyquit.com. They say the average number of craves per day is about 6 within 72 hours. No crave should last longer than 3 minutes but the time distortion is very real so they suggested keeping a clock in handy. I think I’ll try that! After day 3, craves should slowly decrease. 

Im about to experiment and find out how accurate this information is. Everyone is different and maybe some people can relate to my experienced If im successful that is lol. I mean I’m just about to restart my journey so we’ll see .

Honestly so far I’m doing horribly with my quit mission. I’ve been smoking here and there.... Again! I really think my problem is fear of quitting and fear of letting go.

I’m not making a plan, by not making a plan I’m not successful. Also, reading up prior to quit maybe helpful. Just to give your self a heads up and being knowledgeable with what to expect. That’s my mistake. I didn’t do that. Why? Because I’m rushing into it. 

My my personal opinion and some may not agree with me on this one but I think for some people a gradual quit might work verses cold turkey. That’s if they stick to a PLAN for it. Like, from 15 sticks day one following day have 14 sticks... there’s a app for it where you set your realistic quit date and log in the number of cigs you smoke and there is this timer thing that tells you when you can smoke until you reach your quit date. I tried this and felt it work but stupid me thinks I can go cold turkey and once again rush into things and end up failing. Don’t be like me. Impatient. Rushing. Again.

I’m reading it now so if your possibly new you should read this too. And for the many successful EX can read this too and tell us what they think. 

Itll also be helpful if I can get any links to read as well. Maybe someone needs to hold my hand and tell me not to smoke every single day! Childish I know but Kind of need reassurance like that toolol I’ll figure it out. 

Time to start my experiment I guess.. bye hopefully I’m successful this time
