I just had another difficult time this morning.  I think it has to do with working.  I was just outside shoveling snow and I REALLY want to smoke.  I think it's because I'm used to smoking when I take a break.  These ones are tough for me.  Just got an interesting text from EX about there being two types of craving, "background craving" and "triggered craving".  Hadn't read this one before.

We were accustomed to rewarding ourselves when we worked.  Sometimes before, after, during.  It is okay to have those cravings as long as you do not smoke.  Just breathe, realize that you can do anything and not "have to smoke". Your brain is use to you telling it that you want to smoke.  It takes time, practice, relearning deprogramming the brainwashing.  "You do not need a cigarette". You can do it.  Hang tough, get through it.  Pull out your tools.  Gum, candy, mints, water,  Just breathe.
