Official Start of Summer

However you celebrate the American Memorial Day Weekend, most of us think of it as the official start to the summer season.   Maybe you go to a parade, commemorating those who have died during wartime.  Maybe you have family over for a picnic.  Maybe you do nothing at all (I applaud that choice).

Whatever you do, however you celebrate or not, promise yourself this one thing:  You won't smoke, no matter what.

Happy?  Don't smoke.

Sad?  Don't smoke.

Celebrating with a drink or two?  Don't smoke.

Having a great meal?  Don't smoke.

See other people smoking?  Don't smoke.

I'm actually going to meet some new friends at the local theater to see The Avengers: Endgame for the second time.

And I'm not going to smoke.

What are your plans?

I became nicotine-free on Christmas Day 2017. That's what I use as my quit date. I had smoked cigarettes for 45 years, then vaped Juuls for a few months before quitting cold turkey when I used up my supply of pods. I am a retired widow, living in Upstate NY.
