Craving vs. Temptation

Blog Post created by AnnetteMM on Mar 16, 2018

Seems to me that after withdrawal is over we aren't having cravings so much as temptations.  Words can affect how we feel about things.  Giving in to a craving might be understandable; giving in to temptation not so much.   Or think of it like drunk dialing an old flame.  Why would we do that?  Because we get nostalgic or lonely or angry or depressed (oh, and drunk).

We have a lot of temptations we don't give in to.  Maybe if we think of cigarettes as just one more, might feel a little easier to avoid.
