This blog post is a special shout out to AnetteMM who gave me her 30-day NA chip when I hit my 30 days. I just received it in today's mail. I think it is no coincidence that I received it on the day she was struggling with her own quit. Maybe someone upstairs is trying to remind us both that we trudge the road to happy destiny...together.
For those who don't know the tradition; some older members of 12-step programs will pass along their 30-day chip to a newcomer as a kind of sign of hope. It's a very personal thing.
