Special Note:  My apologies for the lapse in posting.  I thought the post for Day 20 was lost or deleted, but when I began a new post, auto-recover at EX Community had saved and retrieved it.  Also, the Post banner is a colorized micrograph of a scanning electron microscope image of a healthy set of Bronchial cilia.

Day 20 Feb 22:  My 1st day back to work was ok. My boss gave me a huge hug and other co-workers were glad to see me, and the joy-fest lasted about 15 minutes and everyone was back to their usual bitchiness again. Welcome to School District life. The good news is, things were not in too bad of a shape and when I  did my freezer and cooler duties -- lo and behold! -- there I was was, strapped into my corset back brace and not a cough or wheeze was to be heard! Lawdy, lawdy, I'z free!

And not a cough was to be heard all day, not once was I SOB,  (I just picked up that SOB lingo, you see, so now I'm starting to feel official.)    And I even managed to forget to take my meds to work which meant I skipped my mid-day dose. And STILL I was ok.

Lawdy, lawdy!

We were short one person so I was doing double-duty, but things were getting done and I learned that the person who normally does our dinner program dropped out, so guess who got tapped? Plus, I wanted to come in tomorrow so I will be there 8:00 AM-noon, but it will be a light crowd, and I can also get caught up on some other things. But NEXT WEEK, I be there 7:00 AM - 5:00 M-F doing the dinner program, which is not as horrible as it sounds. But there are two benefits: 1. Check will be larger, which is always a plus, and 2. I will have the energy, which is pretty darn cool.

Speaking of energy, rode the bike up to the Walgreen's to get a movie at the RedBox and decided to get the Pulse Oximeter, just for kicks. The ride there was glorious. Not one short breath once, but for some bizaro reason my chain came off while I was peddling across a busy 6-lane street which was a little freaky, and when I got safely to shore, I flipped the bike over, (It's an 18-speed "Specialized", and rides like a dream. I have her tuned up yearly and  she's always happy with that, ) and quickly fixed the issue and was on my merry way again.

I was a little winded when I got home three blocks later, and quickly checked my Sp02 which was 94. Ug. So that's something I need to work on, obviously. But the SOB didn't last long which I took as a good sign.

It's been a good day. Now, it's movie time.

Peace and gratitude,

AC
