I just read Jackies blog about taking our quit for granted. I'm still not smoking, still trying to take care of myself. But have been much less present here.

What struck me most about Jackies blog was that we don't come here when things get tough in our lives....

The last 24 hours sucked!!!!

My daughter called at 5 p.m. yesterday to say she was in jail.... Well fu*k! We have been through so much with her. If you didn't catch it earlier she has BPD ( borderline personality disorder) For quite a while she was doing really well. But in the last couple weeks I knew she was ramping up for a blow up.

I am too tired to share all that has happened... but to sum it up; She is out of jail, I have my 3 year old grandson with me, I am not sure where all this will lead.... I believe her full time, very stressful job was more than she could handle. Stress leads her to not make the best decisions. She got into an altercation with her sons father and grandfather.

There will be days in all of our lives when we wonder " How in the hell did I get here?!?" There were a couple times in the last 24 hours that I wanted a smoke really really bad. But I remember that nothing was truly easier when I smoked. Pain and stress were still intense some days!

Today I don't need to add the worries about further damage to my health and finances to my worries.

Thanks for listening.

Ann
