Feeling overwhelmed in just preparing to quick

Thanks for all the post (Doug, rollercoaster, Dian, Evian, and Ellen).  I am confused when I try to answer everyone individual.  Computer frustrates me so I have to Easy Does It with the navigation.

I lost the pfd for Carr, now I am struggling how to get it back.  Ok, the E cigarette is out.  I am taking the bupropion and chantex (3 days).  I am edgy because of the side of effect from Chantex.  So, I am trying to go quiet the noise internally.   the devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other.  The devil is winning for now.  It keeps whisper this is nice, no one will ever know that you are not quitting and you can still live in isolation.  The angel is making the list why I should (health, heart, age, family and friend).

Will go to suggestion box

Again thank all of you for reaching out!

Hi!

Just so you know you can get to The Easy Way any time you want by going the The Best of EX and look up Quit Kit:

/blogs/Christine_Aka_Legend-blog/2014/08/22/quit-kit It's at the bottom of the page.

Do you know any relaxation techniques like muscle scans or mindfulness? It might help you with the nervous feelings.

Keep working on your Quititude. Be sure to not argue with the part that is addicted. Simply make the decision to not smoke with 100% commitment no matter what thoughts pass through your head.

You can do this!

Stick with the angel and you can't go wrong!  THE POSSIBILITY DOOR   The quickest way to shut the demon up is to accept the journey of this rite of passage and in your head close the door on the option to smoke.  When you abjure the choice to smoke you begin to taste the freedom for which you long.  Know that all reasons the demon gives to smoke are simply excuses to remain in it's embrace.  They are all lies.  /blogs/Giulia-blog/2016/09/06/a-quit-dialogue-in-iv-acts   The Carr PDF is on my page if you ever need it and can't find it under Giulia's Profile. Here's the link to the book:   http://media.wix.com/ugd/74fa87_2010cc5496521431188f905b7234a829.pdf

12Finally34  The angel is trying to help you, the devil doesn't want to let go of you.  Once you begin, remember that it is one day at a time, one event or happening at a time,  you CAN do this.  You need to keep it in the moment, keep your thoughts in the moment...don't jump ahead.

We are here, we want to help.

I also took Chantix to quit.  It was my 3rd attempt with Chantix.  I never made it past the first week on previous efforts.  The side effects can be tough at first, but mine did get better.  The best part I found is the lack of cravings which was offset by the awful night sweats and weird dreams.  The nausea can get you, too.  I will also say that I didn't even finish the last week of the starter pack because I forgot to take it a couple of times and realized I didn't need it.

Let the buproprion and chantix do their work.  Give it a few more days.  Prepare your quit plan and read what everyone above has posted.  It IS helpful!!!  Listen to the angel...

We really all were overwhelmed - trust me! I have been quit for 7 years after smoking for 40 years and I still remember that fear! But - you are in the best place on Earth for support! The Carr book is great too! You can do this - stay close!
