First of all I want to congratulate you on 16 glorious smoke free days, you're doing this quit one precious smoke free day at a time. Give yourself some time to get through the craves time to relearn different ways of dealing with life's issues without the hand to mouth motion of smoking but you can and will get to that good place in your quit, read Jonescarp AKA Dale's page concerning the first 4 months of quitting smoking it's really helpful. I must have read that page 4 or 5 times and probably more than that it helped me alot, keep moving forward and stacking up your awesome DOF.

Perfectly normal to feel like you are on a roller coaster ride early in your quit.  This journey has ups and downs and twists and turns...good days AND bad ones.  Here is a link to a list of early withdrawal symptoms you might find useful:

Hang in there.  There will come a time in the not too distant future when your moods will level out.

Congratulations on what is NOW 17 days of freedom.  Like YoungAtHeart‌ pointed out, this journey is a roller coaster at first. DO read JonesCarpeDiem‌'s page and "What to Expect the first 140 Days."  I read that over and over again.  PLEASE keep in mind that there are good days and bad days no matter what...when we first quit smoking and have a bad day, we blame it on the smoking when, in fact, it just might be a bad day.

Hang in there, it will get better.

I PROMISE you that it will get easier but there are ALWAYS going to be challenging days.  I read Dale's "What to expect..." over and over again and I was so glad to have that to guide me.  We have ALL been where you are now, there are no shortcuts and "The only way out is through."  I got so many sayings from this site that saved me over and over again.
