Hi. My name is Kelly. I just joined this website in hopes of finding people that are going through the same thing as me. I am hoping this is an active board.

I have been taking Chantix for 28 days. I have not had a cigarette in 8 days. I still feel like it is a struggle at times to fight the urge to smoke. My husband is still smoking and I feel angry and jealous that he gets to smoke and I can't.

I guess I'm just looking for someone to talk to.

Glad you found this Group Kellybeth‌. We just moved to a new community platform so the Groups haven't taken off yet. I'm hoping it will in the future.

Rick_M and Stac2 might  have some thoughts about Chantix as they appear to have used it in the past.  There may  be other people who have also used it and can share their experience.

I saw your https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/message/75397-new-here  post as well.  Glad you got some replies there.  Perhaps some of those people know someone who has had some recent experience with Chantix. If not, you're still in good hands.

Hi Kelly, Welcome to the EX. My name is Violet and I am 164 days smoke free Thankful for the EX and all the help i received from everyone on here at the EX community. I'm glad you are here. Chantix was what i had used when i stopped smoking and it seemed to help me get through them early days of my Quit. i Started My chantix two weeks before i quit smoking, that seemed to help me slowly get into my state of mind to quit smoking all together....But you do need that want to really quit smoking ....all i can say here is that you will still get urges here are there to want to smoke but just take it easy Breathe in and out and in and out and you will get through this. Like i said before it takes time but it will get easyier. Only problem i had with Chantix was i had some dreams. But that was all. So after about 2 months of taking Chantix I slowly stopped taking it. I did not need to take anymore. i did stay away from people who smoked that made it a little easyer.... May be you can stay in another room if anyone smokes. So if you want to talk about Chantix are anything else give me a holler..
