Click the reply button on someone's post and then click the quote button and it will bring their comment into your reply/comment. For some reason quoting the root post isn't working at the moment. It seems to not work initially and then it started working. Currently it is being looked into.
That explains it. Quotes are really handy.

I think it says in conversation with when the conversation has no title. When it has a title the in conversation with disappears.
Not sure what you mean by only have the icon display.

Doesn't seem to be this option. What is the reason you want to do this? You can search Private Messages.

EDIT: I figured it out, I think. You cannot edit a reply to a comment. At least, that's what I was trying to do last when it didn't work.

- I created a custom stream based on a tag. Not every content with that tag is showing up in the stream I created. What should I do?
What is the tag you're trying to follow? Tags are explicit. "The Red Dinosaur" would be different than "The_Red_Dinosaur" Please note that underscores in tags are preferred for best practices.
I understand tags. I am talking about a tag that I created, that I copied from one post and pasted to another post, so the tags were identical.

I'm not sure what you mean here. If you sort by Date Created it will show when it was created. Can you provide a link or a screenshot so I can answer definitively.
Sorting by date created gives the newest posts first, it doesn't say what the creation date was. You have to open each post to see the date. Can you filter to a specific date? If so, how.

Multi-level lists work for me.

Well the date will update on the root post. I do typically add something like Update: to call out something drastic in a root post however if it is something like a spelling error or something minor then I probably wouldn't call anything out.

Using the magnifying glass on in the upper right of the page. Search a text string that you find in a private message and you'll see search results for people you are having a Direct Message conversation with.
Are you saying that I have to open the message?

A conversation that is locked may not be editable. I'd have to confirm this. Open conversations should be editable. You can only edit your own.

If you click Actions in one of your comments. Do you not have a delete and edit button?

You're in Tile view (3x3 grid to right of Events) Switch to list view (1x3) right below magnifying glass.

Yes, Jive recommends you use underscores between words for tags(keywords) that are more than one word. I saw tagging wasn't consistent so I cleaned up some of the tags to improve searchability of some of the recent content. I have tagged the item in question. Try setting up your custom stream again and see if it works. I'll also do it.
