One cigarette

6 years ago i was 5 months into a quit. Went on vacation and told myself i could have one, then i told myself I’ll quit again when i get home. Today I’m on day 3 looking back and that one cigarette turned into roughly 43,800 one mores. Its not easy, but right now I’m stronger than i was 3 days ago.

Mmmm hmm.  Been there, done that.  Here's a video that may help illuminate:  "Maybe a puff isn't that big of a deal" - YouTube   It's really so obvious.  But not until we "get it."  We simply can't have, just one.  Because just one leads us back to square one.

So how are you doing?  On day 6?  Hope so.  If not, just keep at it.  /blogs/Giulia-blog/2018/03/01/quitting-is-a-skill-that-can-be-learned?sr=search&searchId=9c7875f2-37...  Rootin for ya!

Yikes!  I see how it could happen.  I still miss it but am finally at a point where I don't think about it as much.  10.5 months lol.  I smoked the day my dog died, but I couldn't it hurt my throat sooo bad.  I only got three puffs in.  Then a week later I was feeling bad again and smoked another three puffs.  It hurts so bad I though what the hell am I doing!  It's like when I started smoking forcing myself to like it.  So now I just think about that pain down my throat and think again.  Thank you for the thoughts it made me think again....I can't just can't!
