LOTS of folks here have quit vaping. You can, too.

I wrote about how I did it here:  https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/AnnetteMM/blog/2019/09/08/how-to-quit-juul-or-vaping-in-ge...

The most important thing is to formulate a plan. There are lots of posts on this site about doing that. Use the search thingie.

Vaping, just like smoking, is addiction to nicotine. Addiction isn't just a habit. It's physical and it's chemistry.

The Law of Addiction states, "Administration of a drug to an addict will cause re-establishment of chemical dependence upon the addictive substance."

Great question. I asked myself that about quitting cigarette smoking (nicotine addiction). I quit seven years ago--made a decision to quit, made a plan, got serious about it, followed the plan--all of this one day at a time.

Quit for good is one of those thoughts that means we're wanting to know we can trust ourselves. The only way to do this, in my opinion, is to take the right action just for today. Let your vapbriety grow and unfold each day--avoid worrying about how you will stay vape free for the rest of your life--after all, the rest of your life isn't here yet.

Yes you can. And welcome to Ex.

Welcome to EX you have come to the right place for support to quit smoking/vaping.  It is all a nicotine addiction, just a different device.  I would start at the education of nicotine addiction and making a plan of how you are going to about it.  Whether you are going cold turkey or use NRT's Nicotine Replacement Therapy. If you go to My EX Plan | BecomeAnEX review the videos and track when and why you vape.  Just replace the word smoking with vaping.  Also, you can follow this linkQuitting E-cigarettes | Guides & Tools | BecomeAnEX is more specific.  I also researched other websites for info www.whyquit.com was one of them. Read Nicotine 101 and Journey to Freedom.  There are EXcellent articles to read.  If you have questions you can use the magnifying glass top right corner and enter a keyword to research. Community Help is the link to help find your way around the site.

Buy the book by Allen Carr, entitled “The Easy Way To Quit Smoking” and read it asap!  Amazon has it.  You could try your local Public Library... call them and see if they have a copy to borrow.  samj23
