Did you mean:

Give and get support around quitting

What to expect?

This is my first full day without a cigarette. I had a few really strong cravings throughout the day and I read blogs on becomeanEX to help me get through them. There are loads of tips and information that really helped me. My first question, is it true that the 3 day is the toughest? My next question is tiredness, when does that begin and end?

Thanks,

Julie

Hi Barb,

I’m doing well considering today is the evening of day 5. I have been impatient, and irritated. I’m wearing a patch and in a few more days the nicotine in the patch will be reduced to 14mg. As disgusting as this sounds, I miss smoking, it was my crutch. Thank you for checking in on me

Don't feel bad about missing smoking.  I think we ALL did at some point.  Perfectly normal.  When you are further along in your journey, you will look back on those feelings for what they were.  Your OLD life!

Your NEW, nonsmoking one will be much better - I promise  Hang in there until it is!!!

Congrats on FIVE days!

Congrats on 5 days of success.   Being irritated and missing smoking are all normal now.  As you move forward, it will get easier.  Stay close and reach out anytime you need some support.

One day at at time.

/blogs/Giulia-blog/2018/03/01/quitting-is-a-skill-that-can-be-learned?sr=search&searchId=fb7ebd4a-67...‌  and /blogs/Giulia-blog/2015/02/23/expectations-timelines-and-the-reality-you-create   Trust us when we tell you it DOES get easier.  But you have to be willing to go through whatever it takes to get there.  All of us, well perhaps not ALL but certainly the majority of us, began this journey with the same questions, same fears, same difficulty you are facing.  We are not special and we don't have magic.  If we did you, YOU can too.  Truly.  Chin up, chest out, charge ahead!
