I am Ms. Teary Eye Today!

Day Two for me and I am getting teary about EVERYTHING!!!! Whether someone says something nice to me or someone talks about me behind my back and I hear them (funny thing is it is dudes. The dudes I work with are so caddy) Part of me wants to give up on the work day and just go home so I can cry if I want. I can't let these guys ever think they have got the best of me!!!!!!! But the struggle is real right now! I am not going to smoke, but I may hurt their feelings soon hahaahaha. Just needed to vent quickly. Is this where I should be doing this? Or is there a better spot for my nonsense? Have a great day! I have my cinnamon and Vitamin water to hopefully hold me back from jail time haha j/k.

Perfectly normal withdrawal symptom when quitting nicotine.  Your emotions tend to be all over the place.  I liken this quit journey to a roller coaster ride with ups and downs and twists and turns.  Do your coworkers know you are quitting?  If not - be sure to tell them - and tell them, too, that being overly emotional is a normal thing to get through.  It WILL end - just hang in there until it does!

Just another day to be WON!  Keep at it!

Thank you! I have not told them because they are a bunch of turds. I am just keeping to myself and my one buddy that I work with. If things get really aggravating then I take a walk. I will not let them ruin my quit! This is MINE!!!!

Yes is where you should be doing this.  It's far from being nonsense.  You'll know from other quitters that what your experiencing is normal and part of the nicotine withdrawal.   Move around as much you can at work until you can go for your walk.  I know you can't let out the tears now, but when you get home, have a good cry.  It's good to let all of this out. Stay close today.

You got this!

A  lot of quitters get very emotional. It is part of the process. In time you will learn that you will not have to suck on a cigarette to help because it really doesn't.  Relearning your thinking that no matter what I will not smoke will help you through it.  Deep breathing always helped me. /blogs/JACKIE1-25-15-blog/2019/09/26/practice-this-breathing-exercise?sr=search&searchId=d1af8835-81...‌.  Come here often.  We will help.

Thank you! I did take some deep breaths so I wouldn't say anything to them. I am going to look at the exercise right now!
