Shout your stats

For Wayne and I shouting our stats in the beginning was a great way to stay motivated  in those hard days and moments. So what are your stats??

Ours are 444 days quit, 26664 unsmoked death sticks, saved a ton of cash, and time added to our life

WhispersQSMB‌..whoops a major math error !! It's almost $300 I have saved (not $3000!); I was buying them at a disount place, only paying $20 per carton and I was only averaging 10 cigarettes per day. But even so, every penny saved counts~

I am so glad that you are doing it! You have been doing it longer than me, and I would love to hear from you about your journey so far, and I would love to get advise from you on staying strong to over come this nicotine addiction. It helps me so much each day, just knowing that you are doing it one day at a time, just like I am. Great Job!

Hi Lori~

I have read AND commented on your posts I accessed via your home page. And I will now share a bit about my quit in the hopes that it might help you. As I noted in one of my post answers to you, each person's quit is unoque to them so what one does tosty quit may not work as well for another...does thant make sense? Ok, here goes: I quit August 25, 2019 prior to surgery to clean out a clogged artery taking oxygen to my brain. I was at high risk for having a stroke. You would think I would never smoke again, right! Well, I relapsed around the holidays and smoked my brains out for about two weeks before I gran hold of my senses and got back down to business. Here is my story regarding that :  https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/SuzyQ411/blog/2019/12/29/relapse-sucks?sr=search&searchId=...

I knew that in order to make this current quit my last quit there were things I had to do differently. While I chose to agani use patches and keep nicttine mints and gum on hand as a last measure to not smoke, I also did some other things that truly made a difference for me. Among them were:

1) https://www.pdfdrive.com/allen-carrs-easy-way-to-stop-smoking-3rd-edition-e184298080.html .. click on this link and it will take you to Alan Carr's book " The Easy Way to Quit Smoking."-- I read every page of this book and it helped me immensely

2) I read this post by Giula : HOW PRECIOUS IS YOUR QUIT?

3) I wrote a break-up letter to my beloved cigarettes : https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/SuzyQ411/blog/2020/01/03/goodbye-forever?sr=search&searchI...

There is one other major step I took and will share it with you once I locate that post which is very elusive right now...  I adapted Giula's post and created my own quit concept

Stay in touch. I have "friended" you so we will be seeing each others' posts...you can also send me a private message from your home page if you choose to (which is like an internal e-mail).

Pls forgive any typos: I am a hunt and peck kinda gal!

Hi, I'm Bonnie and I'm a nicotine addict.  I have 920 Days of Freedom from this nasty, life-threatening, expensive addiction.  And I have to add, I am really proud of myself that I finally did it!  Something happened this morning that got me sooooooooo steamed I would have even gone to buy some if I was early in a quit...BUT I had no desire to even smoke!  And that's because I can come HERE to vent if I have to, or share sad stuff, or whatever I'm going through at the time.  And that's why I don't have to handle my emotions with nicotine.  Thank you for being here!
