WHAT CAN I POST FOR OTHER MEMBERS?

Jump to solution

I was a member of the old Quitnet.com and we were permitted to post bonafide articles on subjects that might help us cope with “daily life” and “the human condition” as long as we did not attempt to give medical advice and properly identified where the information originated...

Is this allowed on this website also?

As an example, I found a great article on “VERYWELLMIND.com” regarding “CABIN FEVER”...

RoseH‌  I've actually made a post about this you can read it below. Very similar. We do love sharing but ask that you link to it and only copy a little blurb of the content rather than blanket posting a whole article and then link to it. Looking at your post(CABIN FEVER DUE TO COVID-19 VIRUS) there isn't a link and it has been blanket (we're not a syndicate) posted from its original location. This way we give credit where credit is due and also if an article is updated that people can see those updates by clicking on the link and we don't end up with out of date copies of content on our site. We do do periodically get requests to take text that has been copied in full from other sites by lawyers and the content owners. It helps if I don't get requests like that.

Additionally, we do ask that you're not giving medical advice and we still leave that up to the professionals. You can talk about your experiences and what you have done.
