Cece8888‌  Welcome.  Since you just joined you didn't get mentioned in here: https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/thread/27535-get-ready-for-your-quit-date-on-41620 .  Check it out anyway. There are some helpful resources linked in that post for you.

Welcome to the Ex drewbuttery

Have you picked a quit date?   Are you going to use and aid or quit cold turkey?  Spend time on the site educating yourself about nicotine addiction and creating a quit plan.  My EX Plan | BecomeAnEX  Knowledge and preparation lead to success.    Most of us have smoked a very long time.   I smoked for 50 years and just celebrated 2 years smoke free yesterday.   The people on this site are great examples that you can do it too.  The support here is fabulous.   I know how much it contributed to my success.  We're here to support you any time you need encouragement or just want to share your journey.

I signed up from text messages from the Ex prior to my quit.  I found them very motivating and added an element of excitement leading up to my quit date.  Also, taking the Daily Pledge not to smoke each day it a great way to begin your day smoke free.

Evening, my name is Coco. Today is my first day. I've tried many times before for different reasons, times in my life. I had a great quit 2 years ago and I want that back. I'm turning 50 this year and my goal is to be smoke free by 50. I've been smoking since I was 17 or 18.

Welcome Coco!

Congrats on your quit journey! It's showing that your quit date is 4/22/2016 so you'll need to logout(<--- click that link) and then back in for it to sync your new quit date to the community.

I'll be doing that soon, right after I set a new quit date in 1-2 weeks. Thanks again...
