Quitting Blu ecig Vanilla

Hi, was anyone else aware of this flavor ban on all ecig cartridges? I have been using Blu Vanilla cartridges for my Blu ecig for like 5 years after quitting a pack a day Newport cigs for over 15 years. I am now trying to quit the ecig and never go back to regular cigs. Can anybody tell me if coming off E-cigarettes 2.4 mg nicotine cartridges is hard. I am ready to stop. I get so tired of always charging the batteries and ordering cartridges ect and the now “only tobacco and menthol flavor available” as of Friday are disgusting!

Hi and Welcome to Ex’s Bella713.

I am happy you found our site.  Unfortunately, you swapped out @one addiction for another.  However, it is possible to quit with planning, knowledge and hard work.  I suggest,  you read at My EX Plan | BecomeAnEX where you will plan a quit date.  Then, I suggest you read blogs and join the group at the bottom of this page for those quitting E cigs and vaping. Also, I would come here often and get support and encourage others in this journey.  Be sure to rid all smoking paraphernalia the night before your quit.  Lastly, keep busy, finding healthy things to do in place of smoking.  /blogs/Maggie_quit_8-1-2010-blog/2012/03/19/100-things-to-do-instead-of-smoking?sr=search&searchId=f...

The answer to your question about 2.4 mg...it is hard to come off of any addiction...but it is doable...you have to get through the withdrawals “one step at a time”...We are here for you...Happy Sunday ~ Colleen 433 DOF

Welcome to the Ex.  We have many vaper's here now.   I sure it has to be harder to quit when you can vape anywhere.  Us smokers had to wait to find a place to light up.   Colleen has already given you some good advice.  Have you given any thought about using an aid and or are you committed to cold turkey?  Understanding nicotine addiction and having a plan are so important.  Knowledge and preparation made my quit possible.  Pick a quit date and join the group.  We're here to support you.

I am trying to quit now/today. I bought a big box of 2mg nicotine gum yesterday. I am such a mess. I also got a box of the tobacco flavor cartridges for fear of withdrawals but I haven’t opened them yet. I just am sick of the cycle of it all and want to quit. I feel a little shaky now and a bit uncomfortable. I usually have that ecig in my hand  or in my pocket readily available anywhere I go.  This is not going to be easy.

No this not easy, but you can do it.  Believe in yourself.   To be successful you really need to get any smoking/vaping products out of your house.  I know it's scary, but it's just too easy to be tempted when it's close by.  Use you're nicotine gum and dispose of the cartridges.   Having those cartridges is not a quit plan.  What are you going to do instead?  Deep breathing, go for a walk, chew on straws, sour candy, and many more others will suggest.   This is one day at a time.   This is my first successful quit (almost 2 years) after numerous attempts.  One thing that helped this time was when I realized it was a choice.  I only need to not smoke today--I can tomorrow if I choose to.  Don't think about forever right now.  And the support here is priceless.   The community saved my quit several times early on.   Just reach out.  We're here for you.

Okay, I’ve put the batteries (ecigs) yes I had three as to never run out of battery and the pack of cartridges in a ziplock bag and had my husband put it away! I have starburst, sugar free worthers sweet tarts and some more candy and have already drank two bottles of water today lol! I do not think this will be near as bad as when I had to quit some narcotic nerve meds years ago! I can do this ! I appreciate all the help, comments and support!! I am 42 and a mom of two teen girls! I am tired of this nicotine controlling me!!
