Hi Hon Julie1960 Trying to find how long you have been quit, but it seems a few months...correct me if I am wrong?
Being hateful especially to those we love is “anger”...it is a stage of grieving and you may be grieving smoking. Mostly, that you are an addict and angry that you are having to give up your smoking. It’s hard I know... Human nature we take it out on those we love. It really isn’t fair to them...you need to explain and start to let go of the “anger” and start “accepting” your quit free life. Unfortunately, we smoked through too many emotions and now we are having to cope with them. Please realize you love your partner and your dog and you shouldn’t take your anger out on them. If you are unable to do this on your way, may I suggest you talk to your Doctor and find a suitable therapist to help you out. You are giving up a strong addiction and it is ok to get help. Gotcha in my Thoughts ... keep us posted ... ~ Colleen 394 DOF
Day one of many. Thanks
Well then make Day one ... Day Won ... your hateful is because you are withdrawing...just hang in there and don’t feed the addiction.
Day2
Whoo Hoo Julie1960
It is good that you recognize that you are angry. We become rather emotional when we quit smoking because most of ours have been covered up in smoke. You just may be angry that you quit smoking and taking it out on the ones closest to you. This is a great opportunity to learn ways to get through those times that are hard. Breathing was the best thing for me. /blogs/JACKIE1-25-15-blog/2019/09/26/practice-this-breathing-exercise?sr=search&searchId=c7792771-33... and 3 min meditation. Quitting smoking can take on a whole new life. It can be good or bad. It is up to you to choose which one. /blogs/jonescarp.aka.dale.Jan_2007-blog/2019/03/10/its-negative-thinking?sr=search&searchId=e98fcdf7...
Welcome and congrats on your quit. Anger can certainly be a part of quitting smoking. Anger is a human emotion and it is ok except when directed it others. Try channeling your anger else. Doing something physical can really help. Going for a walk, etc.
Be kind to yourself right now.
