Yes...cfbays here for you...can you go take a walk? How about a shower? How about praying to God to help you?

Talk to yourself...you don’t need to smoke...talk to me...Colleen praying for you...strength...

You want nicotine. Damn cigarettes make addicts think --just got to smoke. You can get through this. And you do it just for today. I hope you understand that Ex is going to be here for you 365.

You came here because you want (or wanted to smoke). It's gotta be that you would like to keep your quit because you went to all the trouble to reach out. Welcome to Ex. That's what we are here for. Stay connected, blog again.

As for a crave--deal with one at a time--walk, watch a movie, have a sucker candy, get away from your location and do something else. Yes you can get through this.

I know you're jonesing. I hate it for you, it sucks! Colleen has some great suggestions though.  Did you make a list of things you can do when you want to smoke?  If not think about it and write it down. Post in a prominent place so when you see it maybe you can divert your attention to one of those.  It's not easy or everyone could just put them down and walk away.  I put my days of freedom calendar and the list of things to do other than smoke on the door to the garage, where I used to go smoke.  It was motivating and helpful.  Unfortunately you are taking away a drug and feeling the effects of withdrawals that are similar to the withdrawals of crack and heroine.  Stay calm, stay close to Ex, stay mindful and most of all be good to yourself.  It gets better, it really does I promise. We got your back.

Thanks Julie. Your words were very encouraging. I know this is going to be hard but I know I can do it. I am going to use your suggestions and I'm definitely going to stay close toe Ex. Again, thank you.
