You start by first deciding that this time you are quitting for real. Being successful is all about shear determination and stubbornness. You really have to want this. Yes its hard. Yes you will go thru the crazies. But you will survive.

I smoked for 37 years. My entire adult life. While I was smoking my last cigarette, I acknowledged that it would be the last one I ever smoked. There is very little that we have control of in our lives but smoking is one of them. Write down your reasons for wanting to quit. Trust yourself. There truly are no positives to smoking. Don’t give in to your addiction. Stay out of your head. Don’t give in to the crave, just shake it off.

I've been quit now for 8 months. You are so able to do this if it really is what you want. Don’t let yourself down. Be Amazing!

You start by making the commitment that no matter what you will not smoke. You educate yourself about the addiction to nicotine and the effects it has on your body.  You prepare and plan when and how you are going to do it.  You step into freedom and do not turn back.

You have to make a promise to yourself that no matter what you want, no matter how you are feeling, the answer will not be a cigarette. If you honor that promise to yourself, you will not smoke.  I made that promise to myself 6 years ago after many failed attempts.  I have not smoked since and it is absolutely wonderful.  You can do it.
