Trigger warning

I had to stop for fuel this morning.  This is my Numero Uno trigger.  This is where I always got smokes.

This is also the only gas station between my house and work.

I admit, I had the vision of popping inside, buying a pack and having "just one" to celebrate 1 week smober.

Doesn't that sound insane?  Have a smoke to celebrate not smoking?

Addiction is not sane or rational; it's just powerful.

This girl got her fuel and drove away like a smart person.

Take that, addiction.

It's gonna be a good day.

GREAT JOB at recognizing the trigger and pretty much laughing it off.  Congratulations!

The "let's celebrate our milestone by having a smoke" thought is not insane at all.  (Well, unless most of us smokers are insane.)  It's quite common actually.  You'll find that same thought in the little play I wrote /blogs/Giulia-blog/2016/09/06/a-quit-dialogue-in-iv-acts?sr=search&searchId=ea3de807-a340-49c6-8bc5-...‌   in Act IV, Scene 1.

Big trigger.  Big success in overcoming it.  It's really fun watching your quit.  You're doing great!
