Rooting plants

My Ex, friend Pat aka :. IrishRose sent me this beautiful Oregano plant last year and I am rooting it now to get more and keep it going. I have all sorts of things started now. Forsythia, roses, lilacs, celery, lemon,spinach...etc....in the toilet rolls I have all kinds of stuff started from seeds from peppers to cutting flowers. I have stuff all over the house getting them seeded or ready to transplant later outside. I never use rooting compound cause I never have luck with it....so far everything’s rooting though, Happy Gardening! Below you can see my winter garlic has come up and will be ready to harvest in late June.:)

Giulia‌ , my husband will not let me use our tiller.  hahahahaha  Last time I used it, a good number of years ago, I did not let go of the stop handle when the tiller took off with me holding the handle bar; the tiller started climbing a tree, and it flipped me.  I went flying over the tiller, past the tree, literally, flipping in the air.  Dean, to this day, mentions that he wished he had a video of me flipping over the tiller in the air.  I knocked the air out of myself when I landed on my back between the garden and the tree.  Needless to say, I lost control of where the tiller was going, and I refused to let the handle go, so it would stop.  Geesh.  We both got a good laugh over it after I finished licking all my wounds.  hahahaha

That's hysterical and scary at the same time.  But I sure can picture you doing a back flip with that thing!

What a picture, but I am glad you survived the tiller, lol

GiuliaYour cat was bringing your husband a present.  They do that when they love you.  hahahahaha  Squirrels are annoying little pests, but they look so innocent.  NOT!

IrishRose‌, I found pots this morning for the dwarf pines and just planted them. I also planted a small Magnolia tree , I hope its not to close to house or drive way. Here is also a pic of the almond bush from a google search. I am going to go down and buy some today at Walmart.

And the Magnolia tree, pretty small now.

IMG_4399.jpg I put a cage around it so my Doberman won't go lift his leg on it, lol

That almond bush is beautiful.  The pines will do fine in the pots.  I see them around here.  They look great next to the garage doors too.

I planted a Southern Magnolia in the front yard when I moved into this house over 28 years ago.  Magnolias are very slow to grow, but they are such beautiful trees, and the flowers they produce are breathtaking.  Here is a flower from my tree last year.  The flower measures eight inches in diameter.  Check it out...

I have a question I hope someone can help with, I have a miniature Japanese maple at my house in KY, I want to get one started at my home in SC. Is there a way to get a cut from the tree and transplant that works? I'm descent with flowers, but I've never tried anything with a tree.
