It looks like most of the LGBTQ threads are really old. Anybody still here?

While the group isn't really active currently I don't see why it couldn't become active. It certainly has the potential. This is an accepting community overall and quitting is quitting no matter how you identify. There are a number of people who participate broadly across the site and may not ever have even known about this group.

Outside the group and across the site we have many amazing people who identify in different ways. All are welcome and we don't put anyone in a box. Auroraclearsky‌ Bryson92‌ to name a few.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Let me tell you what I am up to...

I am funding 6 LGBTQ organizations in Colorado with money collected from a

Tobacco Tax. We were funded because of extraordinary smoking rates in this

population. We are working with a lot of organizations from non-urban areas

who have very little LGBTQ community or support.

Next week I am introducing 10 "Quit Coaches" who have successfully quit

tobacco to be available to connect LGBTQ people who want to quit to LGBTQ

inclusive resources to assist them in quitting. I want to introduce them to

Become An Ex as one of those resources.

My guess is that they will check it out because it is LGBTQ friendly and

may, or may not, branch out to other groups. I just want them to know it is

a safe place to meet others who are going through the same thing.

I will show our Coaches this group next week and they may join to stay

connected.

This is a great place to be for quitters and quitters-to-be. Be sure and make Allen Carr's Easy Way book available as part of your resources. There are many of us here who have tried everything more than once and a few who quit the first time - with the help of others.
