Give and get support around quitting
I would never associated spring cleaning as a craving trigger. 128 days quiet and every time I take a short break I am having strong cravings. I will not smoke today but it is not easy.
Taking a deep breath and visiting this site has been a quit saver. I will continue to work to protect my freedom day 129.
I just finished mowing the lawn, and had to come and comment on this thread. That darn "reward" trigger was the toughest and longest lasting of all. I pretty much lost all my triggers after a few months except for the reward one. Now (after 2 years of not smoking) as I was finishing up the lawn, I was thinking about how I couldn't wait to get inside my air conditioned home and drink a tall glass of water. Then it occurred to me that this was the first time in over 40 years I thought that. Normally, I couldn't wait to "reward myself" by standing in a steaming hot garage that reeked of gasoline fumes, and smoke a cigarette or 2 hiding behind my car so the neighbor kids wouldn't see me. I think I prefer my A/C and ice water reward a lot better .
Congrats! Looks like you joined after your quit day, 50 and 100 day milestones but we'll catch you on your 150 days free!
