Can someone tell me the good reason why there are two sets of the same post on the home page?

Well you can click on "Read the Latest Updates" on the homepage and see everything - Be sure to click on "All Content" on the left near the top.  You can sort by different ways - newest created or latest updated - other options too.  You won't miss much by looking from there.

It seems to be fixed on the home page now. The widgets are showing the correct information. One with the newest blogs and one with the blogs with most recent activity independent of when they were first posted.

Weird! At the time I moved it back up they were not identical and were behaving as expected. I'll grab a screenshot next time.

And you can see here it's working again.  The Photo blog had comments more recently than the Wow It's Hump Day and Risk of Hypothyroidism blogs.

Barbscloud‌  I apologize if I missed your question before. The "Newest Blogs" widget has an issue where it goes blank periodically.  Since it is unreliable currently, I have put another blog there until the issue is fixed so that people can see blogs that were created or commented on recently so that new blogs don't get missed.  I agree, it does seem redundant to some degree but I would rather have that in the interim so that we have new blogs showing because I cannot be awake 24 hours a day add and remove the "Recent Active Blogs" widget if the Newest Blogs widget goes blank.  Once the "Newest Blogs" widget is fixed the "Recent Active Blogs" widget will be removed..
