Give and get support around quitting
This is our new spot as the other got way too long. That is kind of a good thing though....people finding a spot to get the support they need and share with the rest of us how they are working on building that love.
So, let's keep the ball rolling and join in this.
Love you.....Love myself!
How do you join a group. I'm new I have yet to quit but set my quit date as well as hoping they will help with providing me with the patches for free. Due to me not working as well as being disabled.. So if anyone can HELP ME I would appreciate it..
Greetings and Welcome missynbenji8615 Here you don't have to "join" a group per se: How do you join a group these days?
You can "follow" a group so you'll receive all notifications from that group. It's unnecessary with the new site as you're automatically subscribed to any post you create or participate in so you can stay in the know. You can also participate via email to keep connected even while on the go.
The search feature here (magnifying glass upper right) is a good one. You can type in "free patches" for example and a list will present itself. Glad you've joined us. Others will chime in with more info! Cheers!
Call 1-800-Quit-Now to connect to your state's quit line and they can tell you if they have free patches available. Welcome to EX. Remember that nothing can quit FOR you, you need to read as much as possible about nicotine addiction and plan your quit. Stay close to the site, know what to do when you are craving and remember that no crave ever killed anyone...no one can say that about smoking.

GREAT advice dear Daniela2016, thanks for posting it. Sending you great big hugs.

Keep your positive attitude because it'll get through any rough patches that you may come upon I know how hard it can be at times to stay positive but we can do just about anything with the right Mindset. Anewme2019
Thanks Giulia for reposting this great piece
I see that most of the last posts here were from 2019 with just a few for 2020 Giulia and I think I know why. Even though you posted this on the December 2020 Pledge site, when one is on that site and chooses to pledge not to smoke, they are taken to the last entry on the stream. Except for the person making the first post of that stream, we never see these lovelies that you have offered up to us.
It's not that we don't care or don't appreciate your good work on behalf of out quits, it's just that we rarely come upon them.
Today is Tuesday Accountability Day and how I know that is because I've learned a "go-around" to allow me to see your original post on the monthly pledge site: Before I respond to the call for pledges on the main stream, I am now first going to my homepage where I access the pledge site and am immediately taken to your writings.
Too bad there can't be some magical way for the current pledge stream to first land on your page of monthly writings so we may benefit from them. Any ideas Mark ?
And so, Giula, today I will be personally responsible for my accountability to my quit and will begin working on how to love myself. Thank you for your convincing words!!
