HOW TO PUT IN A LINK

Go to the link you wish to add.  It will appear in your browser window (top of your screen beginning with http://

Highlight and Copy it  (see separate blog on how to do that if you don't know).

Put your cursor where you want the link.  Type a name for it.  Let's say it's a link to whyquit.com  Type WhyQuit then highlight WhyQuit, click on the blue icon that looks like a globe at the top of the comment box (it's in the same line with the B I U abc)  and past the link in the URL to the right of the protocol box.

You can use this method for blogs and your profile page (by going into edit profile).  In order to put in a link on someone's page, since there is no internet symbol, all you can do is paste it on the message board.

That IS weird.  We're talking about at the very top of your page, right?  First there's a solid blue line that has the firefox logo and BecomeAnEx.org Online Quit Smoking Support Network:  community Site Help's blog:  How to put in a link - Mozilla Firefox

Then there's File Edit View History Bookmarks Yahoo Tools Help (Yahoo may only be on mine because I'e chosen Yahoo as my home page)

Then the broswer line.  Here's what my browser on Firefox says right now on this page:

Maybe because Yahoo is my home page, that's a factor.  I'm not a computer genius so I really don't know.  Everything I've learned is by trial and error.  But my suggestion would be assume that the http:// is there.

You can set Firefox to bookmark the sites you like.  I'm assuming you see a Bookmarks there are the top of the screen.  (If you don't, then I guess you haven't set up a firefox toolbar?)  You would click on it and click on 'bookmark' this page.  Or you can click on the star symbol just ot the right of the address.   I don't think there's a "favorites on Firefox, but don't know for sure.  Within bookmarks you do have the capacity to create a folder of your choice.  So you could create a folder called Favorites.  If you go to the "Tools" section (top of the page) and click on "options" it will enable you to change your home page and a whole lot of other features.  The only way I know all this is by experimentation.  And that's the best way to learn.  So don't be afraid to try.  Clicking on the Firefox Help will also take you to places that might help you.
